Basic fishing lines monofilament and knitted/What and why do I use?

Season Preparation (Classical Feeder and Method)

In this post I will share what basics (monophilic and knitted) fishing lines I use, why and in what situations as I hope to be useful and help in your choice.

For the underlines I use:

For basic braided line Daiwa J-Braid x8 Dark Green 0.16mm / Shock leader 9 m Daiwa J-Braid x8 Expedition Dark Green – 0.22mm. Super reliable combination that I use no matter how many meters should be powered from 20 to 100 m, whether with a cage feeder or method feeder. The advantage of the braided fishing line in feeding is the accuracy and 0th elongation thus being fed super precisely.

For monofilament fishing from 40 to 80/85 m:

In such situations when fishing is appropriate use of monofilament fishing line in a basket or method, whether I use 3000, 4000 or 25QD size reels put on 3.30, 3.60 or 3.90 m rods my choice is definitely definite Daiwa Tournament ST 0.24mm. I've been subjecting this fishing line to all sorts of loads or literally “jerks“, but it never betrayed me. The only fishing line that after the end of the season does not need a change, but I change it because it is my inner convictions everything to be done.

Distances 90 m+:

Since late autumn I have been using a combination that I really like and achieving distances especially in method fishing, it has improved considerably with me, 130 m/140 m is no longer a mirage, after of course I have worked on my technique. My choice fell on a combination of monofilament basic fishing line Daiwa J-Thread Gray 0.205mm and 9 m shock leader Daiwa J-Braid x8 Expedition Dark Green – 0.22mm. Here, I think, it is very important to monitor the condition of the base fishing line, because it is relatively thin and it depreciates faster, it is just a kind of quick consumable. When the shock leader is of braided line, the power of the form is used up and casting is greatly improved.

Knitted feeder fishing thread with basket:

Since 1 a year since Daiwa launched Daiwa Tournament Feeder Braid Sinking Gray x8+1 this fishing line became my only choice. Finally a really sinking bream and quite wear-resistant. It is very easy to work with, especially in sidewinds and shallow ponds. For distances up to 30/35 m, I prefer the size 0.10 mm, for 40-55/60 m 0.12 m and for 55/60 m+ 0.14 mm. The farther distances suggest the use of more voluminous or heavier baskets and I like to insure that there are no “fouls“. When I finish my montage with feeder gum use 4 or 6 libre Daiwa Nzon, and when the situation requires monophyletic shock I choose from 3's the size of the cone-shaped Daiwa Nzon Tapered Shock Leader - 0.25-0.18mm; 0.30-0.22mm; 0.35-0.26mm.
